Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of the Rasd platform: the dashboard, the mobile app, on-premise devices and the APIs. By signing in to your account or using the service you accept them on behalf of the business you represent.
1. Parties and definitions
"Rasd" is Rasd Vision, a company established in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The "Customer" is the business for which an account is created. "Users" are the account owner and the branch managers and supervisors they add. The "Service" converts the Customer's camera streams into operational numbers, alerts and reports, in the cloud or on a device in the branch.
2. Accounts
During the current launch phase accounts are created by the Rasd team after a trial request; there is no self sign-up. The account owner is responsible for the users they add, the accuracy of their details and the confidentiality of sign-in codes, and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Sign-in uses a one-time code delivered to your mobile (WhatsApp) or email, or a password you choose.
3. What the service does and does not do
The service provides counts and estimated measurements: entries and exits, individuals and groups, occupancy, visit duration, queues, conversion (if a POS is linked), and operational alerts.
- Numbers are statistical estimates that depend on camera angle, stream quality and setup; we deliver them after a calibration day with manual counting and state the measured error margin. They are not a financial count and not a substitute for sales records.
- Assistive alerts (such as a possible fall, crowding, or presence after closing) are always shown with the word "possible" and a confidence level; they assist a human supervisor and do not replace one. The service is not a safety, rescue, fire-alarm or child-monitoring system and must not be relied on to protect life or property.
- The service does not recognise faces, does not identify people and stores no images — a design constraint, not an option.
4. Acceptable use
The Customer agrees to:
- Operate cameras and process their streams in accordance with local law, including informing staff and displaying camera notices, and within what their camera vendor contracts allow.
- Not use the service to track specific individuals, to discriminate, or for any purpose contrary to law or to the dignity of people on camera.
- Not attempt to extract video from the platform, circumvent privacy safeguards, reverse-engineer the software or model weights, or resell the service without a written agreement.
- Not connect streams from ports open to the internet or with default passwords; the setup wizard refuses these to protect the Customer.
5. Devices and software
If the Customer is supplied with a device (such as a Jetson unit or a small streaming device), the device, its software and model weights remain Rasd's property, licensed for use during the subscription only and protected against copying. The Customer keeps the device powered and connected and returns it at the end of the subscription if rented.
6. Trial, subscription and payment
The free trial starts from the first connected camera and lasts for the agreed period (14 days unless stated otherwise). Afterwards the subscription is paid according to the plan, number of cameras and branches as in the quotation. Billing is annual in advance in Egyptian pounds, plus value-added tax under Egyptian law; for customers outside Egypt the currency and payment method are set in the quotation. Invoices are payable before the subscription period starts, and Rasd may suspend the account for non-payment after notice.
7. Data and ownership
Customer data (numbers, configuration and reports) belongs to the Customer; Rasd processes it under the Privacy Policy. Rasd may use aggregated, anonymised statistics that reveal no customer or branch to improve its models and service. The platform, its software, models and trademarks belong to Rasd.
8. Availability and support
We aim for round-the-clock availability with announced maintenance windows. Dependence on the Customer's network, cameras and devices is outside our control. Support is available through the channels listed in the dashboard during announced business hours.
9. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Rasd is not liable for business or operational decisions taken on the basis of numbers or alerts, nor for any indirect loss or lost profit. Rasd's total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts paid by the Customer in the twelve months preceding it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
The Customer may terminate at the end of the current billing cycle. Rasd may terminate or suspend on a material breach of these terms (in particular the acceptable-use clause) or where legal risk arises. After termination an export of the numbers is made available and data is then deleted under the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may amend these terms; material changes are notified to the account owner at least thirty days before they take effect, and continued use afterwards constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and contact
This document is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it. Contact: legal@rasdvision.ai · hello@rasdvision.ai.
